The English "FINE SILVER" and the French "ARGENT PUR" as well as "9999" indicate that it is 999.9/1000 fine silver. Since 2014, these coins have been produced with the new, modern Mintshield technology as a security feature. The value side shows Queen Elizabeth II and the face value of 5 Canadian dollars.
